Inauguration Ceremony for FIBA BG Basketball Academy and Agreement Signing was held in Hongyan Ballroom, Yanqi Lake. The Ceremony was attended by relevant heads from FIBA, Beijing Municipal Bureau of Sports, Chinese Basketball Association, Beijing Basketball Association, Beijing Enterprises Group Company Limited (BG).

BG joined hands with FIBA in signing FIBA Basketball Academy Franchising Agreement in an effort to build FIBA BG Basketball Academy following BG becoming FIBA’s Global partner from 2017 to 2019.

FIBA BG Basketball Academy is the sole franchised basketball training institution by FIBA in China, and it is the first in FIBA’s history. FIBA BG Basketball Academy will adopt an international talents training approach for both adults and teenagers that covers players, coaches, referees, and agents, etc. FIBA will also mobilize global resources, including leading coaches and exchange programs, to support the academy’s development.

Establishment of FIBA BG Basketball Academy demonstrates closer ties between the two parties, which jointly build world class professional basketball training institution on the basis of complementarity and win-win cooperation with the guidance from Chinese Basketball Association and Beijing Municipal Bureau of Sports. This initiative will further strengthen the basketball talents reserve and popularization of the sports in China, which will promote exchanges and cooperation between China and the rest of the world in terms of basketball culture, fostering a better future for the sports.
